To reflect The Editing Wolves' creative, forward-thinking ethos, we intentionally steered away from the typical teals and blues used by many businesses in this field. Our colour palette needed to be something more unique that would help set them apart, be instantly recognisable and improve brand recall.

Enter: bold, saturated lilac – a contemporary take on the sector's more traditional blues – with 'highlighter yellow' accents injecting on-brand energy. This was one of the few occasions I've elected to use pure black and pure white as the dark and light neutrals in the palette, to bring out the best in the clean acid brights.

The brief was fresh, vibrant and creative, with a clear reference to editing and a hint of wolf…

A quick competitor search revealed that many of the existing brands in this space use blue or teal and had quite conservative (read: stuffy) visual identities.

As the new kid on the block, we wanted something fresh and modern that would convey the innovative ethos of this new arm of my client's business, reflect her values and help her stand out in the marketplace.

The result?

DESIGN NOTES

“You've absolutely nailed it! I love the colours, and I think highlighting the word 'editing' in yellow marker is genius. I love it. Thanks for all your amazing work Hannah.”
